Include a link to your Instagram on your Tik Tok profile and encourage your Tik Tok followers to also follow you on Instagram. So you can create a video on Tik Tok and share it on Instagram with one click! That way you can upload the same video on both platforms and maximize your Instagram growth.
Where to get inspiration for Instagram reels?
For inspiration you can always go to Instagram search tab and type in the keyword you want to make your Instagram reel about under Hashtags. Instagram is going to suggest you different other hashtags related to the one you typed in, so you can easily go to any hashtag and check out the top reels.
You can also type in the niche you are in (e.g. "travel" or "beauty") in the Instagram search tab and click on Accounts, select any account in that niche and check out that profile's reels, see which ones are performing better than others (how the video is made, the caption and hashtags) and get some inspiration for your own reels.
You can find more inspiration for Instagram reels also on Tik Tok. On Tik Tok you can easily find trending themes and top videos through keywords (=hashtags).

How to create a cover picture for your Instagram reel
Create a cover picture easily with free app called Canva. With the below tips make sure that if you are making a cover photo with text that the text will not be cut out of your cover photo and will be visible in your Instagram grid view.
1. Download Canva and
2. Type in search bar "Instagram post" and select it
3. Upload your own picture or use a template
4. Add some text, stickers and elements
5. Click on 3 dots on the top of your design and select "Resize".
6. Choose 9 x 16 and once done you can upload it to your camera roll and add as a cover picture for your Instagram reel.
Now you are all good to go and ready for creating your first Instagram reel!
